Understanding the Wave System

Survive Zombie Arena uses an infinite wave system where zombies spawn in increasingly large numbers. Key points:

  • Wave 1-10: Early game - Learn mechanics, save credits
  • Wave 11-20: Mid game - Zombies get tougher, deployables become useful
  • Wave 21+: Late game - Massive hordes (500+ zombies), requires coordinated strategy
  • Wave 15+: This is when purchasing turrets and landmines becomes worth the investment
Pro Tip:

Do NOT buy turrets or landmines before Wave 15. The zombie density before this point is too low to justify the Credit expense. Raw weapon fire is more economical.

Economy Basics

Credits are the only currency in Survive Zombie Arena. They serve two purposes:

  1. In-match spending: Buy temporary weapons and deployables during waves
  2. Hub purchases: Unlock permanent classes and upgrades at Mr. Santito's Upgrade Shop

This creates a strategic dilemma - spending during a run helps you survive NOW but delays your permanent progression.

First Steps: Optimal Class Progression

For new players, follow this recommended progression:

  1. Start with Survivor class (free) - Learn the basics
  2. Use the Zombies promo code for 2,500 free credits
  3. Save all credits until you reach 15,000
  4. Buy Marksman class - Best first purchase for damage output
  5. Then buy Engineer (20,000) for defense capabilities
  6. Continue saving for Tactician (75,000) or Necromancer (200,000)

Basic Combat Tips

  • Find choke points - Narrow areas slow zombie movement and concentrate them for easier kills
  • Don't spread your fire - Focus on one target at a time for faster kills
  • Watch your ammo - Reload during lulls, not during intense moments
  • Use abilities strategically - Save cooldowns for emergency situations
  • Stay with your team - Solo play is much harder past Wave 20

AFK Farming (Advanced)

Experienced players use macro tools to farm credits while away. The most well-known method involves:

  1. Positioning at the Fuse Box - Zombies get stuck in pathfinding
  2. Using a macro tool like Tiny Task to simulate input
  3. Using high-DPS classes like Demolitionist or Necromancer

Note: AFK macros are technically against Roblox terms but are widely used by the community.

Summary: Do's and Don'ts

✅ Do

  • Use the Zombies promo code immediately
  • Save credits for Marksman (15,000)
  • Focus fire on single targets
  • Play with teammates when possible
  • Hold choke points when defending

❌ Don't

  • Spend credits on early turrets before Wave 15
  • Buy the Medic first (low damage = slow farming)
  • Wander off alone in late waves
  • Spread fire across multiple zombies
  • Neglect to reload during combat
